We trekked through the woods until the branches cleared into the dirt road leading back to New York City. "So, fill me in," I said as we trudged along the side of the road. "We need to catch a ride to at least a half-way point." Alexandra said, looking around. "I think I can help with that." I said, taking off my glasses. I held one of the sides up to my mouth and blew into the whistle embedded on the side. Alexandra started laughing, "What is that gonna do? Attract a really big bird!" I rolled my eyes. A trampling sound started, and it began to get louder as my old friend started to get nearer. My friend breached the bushes and came to my side. "This is Ferrari," I said, patting his side. "He's a race horse, and he competed in the Kentucky Derby." "His name's Ferrari? Like the car?" "Yes, named after the car exactly." Ferrari said. Alexandra's jaw dropped. "Oh, yeah, he talks too." "Yeah, and I got to get back for my poker game, so hurry up." Ferrari said, swishing his tail impatiently. "Okay, Ferrari, we need you to take us to Columbus, Ohio. Can you do that?" I asked. "Hmm," Ferrari waited before answering. "I can get you to New Freedom, Pennsylvania, then you're on your own." I looked at Alexandra, she shrugged. "Okay, New Freedom it is then."
