Welcome to the Hybrid Guide for TSS! There are five generations of hybridism with specific design rules based on the specific generation of hybrid that they are. Hybrids have unstable genetics! Due to this, hybrids can only have biological kits with a pureblood cat of one of the species the hybrid consists of. - For example, a pyro x falcon hybrid can only have biological kits with a pyrocat, or a falconcat. Fire color, fin color, horn/spike color, and feather color are all genetic! This is especially important when designing hybrids since different species wouldn't have the genes for feathers, fins, nor fire so it would always default to the FalconClan parent's feather color, the SeaClan parent's fin color, the PyroClan parent's fire color, or the IceClan parent's horn/spike color. - Tldr: Seacat fins cannot be red just because you have pyrocat parentage, icecat horns cannot be green just because you have seacat parentage and so forth Since hybrids can only have kits with pureblood cats they share a species with, there will always be one species that's stronger than the other in G2+ hybrids. That stronger species is the "greater" species, and the one they have less blood of is the "lesser" species. - A species will reverse a gen in the case of a G2+ hybrid having kits with their lesser species. G1 Hybrids > The offspring of two pureblood species G1 hybrids may have one major ability and any number of minor abilities and physical traits shared between the parent species. G2 Hybrids > The offspring of a G1 hybrid and a pureblood species G2 hybrids may have one major ability and any number of minor abilities and physical traits shared between the parent species. G3 Hybrids > The offspring of a G2 hybrid and a pureblood species G3 hybrids may have any number of minor abilities and physical traits shared between the parent species, but only the major ability of the greater side. G4 Hybrids > The offspring of a G3 hybrid and a pureblood species G4 hybrids have any number of minor abilities and physical traits from the greater species' side as well as their major ability. G4 hybrids may not have minor abilities of the lesser species' side and only up to 3 physical traits of the lesser species. G5 Hybrids > The offspring of a G4 hybrid and a pureblood species G5 hybrids should appear entirely as the greater species. G5 hybrids may have no minor abilities from and only one physical trait of the lesser species. G6 Hybrids > The offspring of a G5 hybrid and a pureblood species G6 "hybrids" are no longer hybrids, and are now considered full-blooded cats.
