no one asked for this BUTTTT its been exactly a week since i saw enha, so! (click on flag then just click screen for pics :D) warning, I'm gonna be sappy and low-key ranting about them rn for a little bit so if u don't wanna see that, just enjoy the pics! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i knew about enhypen since iland, but I never really paid attention to them. why? I had this weird mentality that being a gg stan was WAYYY cooler and unique than stanning bgs (ik, stupid). i gave them a chance but gave up around blessed-cursed era simply because I just didn't see the hype. I thought "oh, well they are handsome and talented, but they seem so overhyped." Around late 2023-early 2024, BITE ME WAS LITERALLY EVERYWHERE ONLINE and I couldn't escape it and i eventually gave in and listened to the FULL song. I LOVED IT sm, so I listened to the whole album, AND I LIKED THE WHOLE ALBUM AS WELL?? I was genuinely flabbergasted, so before I knew it, I quickly tried to catch up with their releases, and then by March 2024, I became a huge engene. Despite the fact I had some trouble getting to know the members, the member that immediately stood out to me was sunghoon. kinda normal, since almost every stan knows him despite being a fan or not, right? yes, but something about his aura and his overall personality just felt so comforting to me. I love all the members dearly, I'm always ot7, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for sunghoon. I really don't know where to start with this man to be honest. everytime I see him on screen, whether he's performing or goofing off with his members, I can't help but crack a smile at his extroverted introvert-like, goofy personality. Either that, or whenever I see his stages and edits I immediately start barking and crying <3 (tbh, his soft edits >>> his spicy ones) I'm gonna be honest, I thought that enhypen wouldn't tour at all again since they had the manifesto and fate series (fate, fate+) tour, but the moment I saw the news for 'walk the line' I KNEW I HAD TO GO. I wanted to see my seven super badly, and even though the closest stop was literally 4-5 hours from my house, I saved up and literally BEGGED my parents to take me and thankfully I was granted the permission to go. (I was gonna go alone since my friends parents wouldn't let them go that far w/o them, and my siblings couldn't come due to studies, but thank god a friend decided to come w/me last minute.) It's been exactly a week since I saw them with my own eyes, and not through a screen. They'd be on intermission to perform one of their iconic songs, given-taken, as I am writing this. Although the concert was apparently 'short' for some engenes (this is my first kpop concert and it genuinely felt like a fair run time, even though some songs were cut off, and also knowing that the members were visibly exhausted and overworked), I'm still SO grateful I got to see my seven in person. I LITERALLY GOT TO SEE FATAL TROUBLE AND MOONSTRUCK LIVE. I CRIED. and I was praying SO BADLY they'd perform helium AND THEY DID AS A SURPRISE ENCORE I cried super badly during that encore because helium is my favorite enha song as of right now (thank you producer jay <3). To end this off, I just want to thank enhypen; thank them for making life a little more bearable to live and endure through. I know they are busy k-idols that obv don't go on kid websites like scratch, but I genuinely hope they know that their music, their bright chemistry, and their personalities really helped me and others go through tough times in school. I'm going to graduate this year, I genuinely can't believe it. I am scared of what waits for me in the future, but I'm glad that most of my anxieties, stress factors, tough fights, and crying sessions were somewhat eased and more bearable thanks to them. Thank you, heeseung, for the music you've directed and composed and your amazing performances. Thank you, jay, for your goofy, uncle-like and unhinged persona, you seriously never fail to make me laugh, especially during en-o clock. Thank you, jake, for your warm energy that you bring to the room and for your constant comforting words and assurance during your lives. Thank you, sunghoon, for always making me smile and for helping me open up a bit as a introvert myself. despite constantly talking about you with my friends, I genuinely care about this man a lot and i hope only good things happen to him and the other members (plus his English is so cute and never fails to make me smile ear-to-ear) Thank you, jungwon, for always sacrificing the time out of your draining, busy schedule to go on lives and talk to us, as well as constantly posting pics and sharing very interesting comments there....lmao Thank you, ni-ki, for your silly persona and for being a reason why I haven't given up on dance, despite the constant criticisms and rejections I've faced. (ty to who pointed that out), thank you, sunoo, for being the funniest and cutest mix of both a sassy diva and a huge ray of sunshine for not only us engenes but for the other six members.
