territory... ............ the storm dynasty lives in a forest where lots of prey roams. squirrels and birds are common here. so are owls and foxes. the camp is very well hidden, nearly underground. cats who live in this dynasty have better vision and can see in the darkness. roles... .............. the tempest... the tempest rules the dynasty. they are in charge of announcing events, picking names, and other events. they may not change the rules in any way. their suffix is storm. storm.. the storm is the tempest's eldest kit, and next in line to be the tempest. they are usually trained by the tempest. their suffix is wind. mage.. the mage is the healer of the clan, and can receive visions, but extremely rarely. they live in a den outside of camp, and are pretty much the lowest rank in the dyansty. they have to defend the camp, and they always have the suffix shadow. shards.... shards are kits under 10 moons. they can leave camp, but aren't being trained. their suffix is shard. crystals... crystals are cats who are older than 10 moons. they are being trained by a mentor, and they stop training once their mentor wants them to. their suffix is crystal. mage's paw... the mage's apprentice. they are similar to crystals, but take on the suffix -mist. gems... gems are crystals who have completed their training. they hunt and fight for the dynasty. their suffix usually corresponds to their skills. traditions... ............ the shattering: every ten moons, the tempest announces an event in which all crystals participate. in this event, crystals are left alone in the forest. while they're there, they have to do the challenges the storm gave them, such as hunting a specific amount [code is wind] of prey, gathering something, etc. however, there's a catch; only 4-5 [can be more or less depending on how many crystals there are,] may win. this event ends when only 4-5 crystals are remaining. those crystals may become gems. whenever a shard becomes 10 moons, the tempest will give them a mentor. when there are too many predators in the forest, the whole dynasty must stay in the camp. the mage will be guarding camp at this time rules... - attacking other cats in the dynasty is allowed. - mages are not allowed to lie about their visions. punishment: mage dies. - mages may not have bio litters, but are allowed to adopt. - every gem may only have one litter. punishment: kits from first or second litter die. - crystals must listen to their mentors. punishment: chores/low prey priority/exile - kits that are half-dynasty or half-outsider are not welcome in the dynasty and usually get exiled. however, if the tempest's kits are half-dynasty/outsider they may stay. extra info... .......... the storm dynasty believes that their fallen clanmates live in the skies once they die. they believe that they can choose to let the sun shine or cover it with clouds. however, the storm dynasty doesn't really care too much about the afterlives.
