This is my pet African grey Leo, he was named Leo in honor of my dead 3 year old African grey Rio. When I first saw Leo he was scared but he came to me and hissed and I told the shop owner that I wanted to hold him, but before he gave Leo to me he trimmed Leo's nails and I held Leo. Leo was so scared that he hid in my jacket and I immediately knew he was the one. When I brought him home he bit me, but I didn't cry I laughed. Then suddenly he made a sound similar to Rio's when he was dying and I suddenly cried "no Leo don't leave me, don't die!! I even bought you out of my hard earned pocket money. Please don't leave me like Rio!" The next day i saw him play with a red and white ball, my heart skipped a beat, this is the same ball Rio loved. Leo was about 2 months old when I got him, now he's 3 months old, he is now just a little sweet heart to me, I guess he knew this broken heart needed healing. Btw Rio died in my own hands, so you can imagine the trauma, and I was about 12 when Rio died. Rio used to call my name in the same tone my mother uses, specifically if I was watching TV without getting permission from my parents, and he used to laugh like me, now Leo does the exact same as Rio.
Photo is mine, don't you dare use it other wise I'm your worst nightmare. Song Life's a Happy Song - Bret McKenzie/The Muppets
