❝when i'm at the pearly gates, this'll be on my videotape❞ claws clashed as the fight commenced under the stars in the gathering grove, every strike charged with betrayal, history, and so much fury. twi's claws tore through the air, her body screaming in pain from the wounds, lungs burning as she tried to regain control. but daybreakdance moved like the snake she was; each blow landing with the weight of justice for those twi had crushed. twi's delirious laughs echoed in the midnight air, yet her voice cracked with each spat out insult and mocking jabs. but with each stagger backward, her strength waned. the pounding in her heart stopped as claws entered her chest, piercing her lungs. each life dripped away in a red waterfall, one by one. her first life had already gone in the fight with topazdawn, snugglebugdream and owlmoon; a desperate clash that didn’t need to happen. it had burnt with the sting of betrayal; flashes of ametrinedance’s eyes filled with hurt seared her mind. and now, with each strike, twilightstar felt the rest of her lives slipping away, one by one. her second life, full of beautiful chaos and destruction of the rebellion, secrets being whispered to each clanmate completely unbeknownst to herself, that she hadn’t seen coming. third, failure breezed past her mind, careening through her mind as she remembered all the times she could’ve helped, but didn’t. starclan, why didn’t she help? ‘you failed, you failed, you failed’ chanted in her head, a mantra cursing her. twilightstar’s fourth life slipped away along with all those moments of lost peace with her clan; quiet nights, small clan announcements, moments that she never cherished enough. then the fifth, the one that hurt the most. duskthunder. her love. he must be so disappointed in her, watching how twilightstar brought her clan down, down, down. the closeness that will never come again. family was the sixth, all her kits, every single one of them. but daybreakdance reminded her of what she couldn’t preserve. her innocence as a warrior was the seventh, how oh so loyal she was that made her crazy in the first place, but was then hopeful, unshaken.. naive. that innocence had faded beneath the weight of the choices she had made. the eighth was her pride, her glory, tarnished by the darkness she had embraced, tarnished by the way she led her clan. then the ninth.. the ninth was the essence of who she was. twilightstar, the suspicious, the blinded by loyalty, the unyielding, the fierce, was now slipping through her claws, only etched in memory. as her final life faded, the whole clearing seemed to hold its breath. silence erupted. in that single moment, twilightstar was gone. a tyrant, now gone. unforgettable, but wanted to be forgot. her body slumped, completely lifeless beneath the starry night, yet her spirit still stirred. undead, but long gone. unfurling from twi’s chest, a soft silvery glow, shaping into the figure of the fallen feline, carrying the weight of all nine lives on its shoulders. the spirit’s head looked around, sharp eyes boring into daybreakdance’s for one last time, then scanned over the gathering grounds, across the cats who had witnessed her awaited fate. trembling at first, scared and hesitant to leave the place she once called home, twilightstar’s spirit left the battlefield behind. the winds of starclan - or the shadows of the dark forest, welcomed her into their open arms. there, her story lingered, etched into the stars, the shadows, and the hearts of those who watched her rise and fall. the tyrant’s final hour had finally ended with fighting one of her own, her era fizzling away. ❝this is my way of saying goodbye❞
so! that’s it! i’ve had immense fun with twilightstar, but it’s time to start afresh. she’s had such a rollercoaster of a life: she started off cold, then as she went deeper into warriorhood, her demeanour became much lighter. but then, she started getting.. evil again. watching her slip from a loyal warrior who would do anything for her clan to a harsher version of herself was insanely fun to play out. from shadowsmile coming back from the cave-in, to exiling ametrinedance and then everything erupting from there, twi’s journey was definitely wild. thank you to everyone who’s rped with me during her life; you all made her story so much richer. but now, it’s time to close this chapter and start something new <3 special mentions! to sunrise / @Elixir-- ! you honestly made twi’s story explode into something much bigger than i expected. from daybreakdance to the rebellion, you gave twi so much more depth. and thank you for everything else you did oorp, i appreciate it greatly! thanks for being part of the chaos <3 to @ -dinosaurs_go_rawr ! twi’s leadership wouldn’t have been the same without ametrinedance; your dynamic with them was everything! from friends to full-blown enemies, from trust to betrayal, all of it made twi’s downfall so much more powerful <3 to beanie / @wii-nterr ! duskthunder was a huge part of twi’s life and i loved exploring their relationship together. thank you for giving moments of love and kindness in moments of turmoil; hopefully they can meet each other again in the afterlife <3 and to ace / @t1red- ! you approved the start of twilightstar’s villain arc and took the time to answer the many questions i had about it. those moments kicked everything off, and i wouldn't have nearly had that much fun without it happening <3 credits: bg art: @.me music: eyes in the void by scott buckley tssrp: @t1red- lyrics: videotape by radiohead and with that, twilightstar’s story comes to an end. she’ll always hold a place in my heart. —————— please comment in the correct sections, or if you don’t know which section you can comment in, feel free to ask me :D saving this: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/837004/?page=1#post-8698261
