1. Glacier (1h, 20 min) today i just did a short trail with Glacier. I sent her to a friend a few months ago who does much more trail riding, and she’s been working with her, so i’m excited to ride again. She was smooth and handled the terrain well 2. Valentine (40min, 20min break, 20min) I did pole exercises to even out her paces. She did well so i put them up and did a few patterns. she did better than last time but still needs work. (she’s young tho, so it isn’t too big of a deal) 3. Shiver (1h, 30min) Practiced dressage with Shiver. He is a commanding horse, so I worked on having him follow what I say, and not doing what he wants. It’s difficult sometimes, but when he listens well, he glides along the arena. Today near the end, we got into that zone, and he improved. 4. Skiá (1h, 40min) did extension and gathering exercises, first with poles, second without. she prefers extended gaits, so next we compete i’ll adjust the pattern to suit her. But she did good, we just worked on shortening bunches more than extending. 5. Fog (2h) I did some in-hand stuff with Fog. he’s been just sitting around the stables for a while, since he is really sensitive to tack touching. we just recently got him adjusted to a leather halter. it gives me a little more control as he often bucks or rears. we are checking with a vet to see if it is a medical condition
