Howzit goin', y'all? I'm doing another music-inspired DTA because I am a mad woman. You don't have to know the songs, but I recommend you listen to some! Today is the 10th anniversary of This Is Not A Test (for the next minute or two!) Ok the project's pretty now Instructions: Press space or click to look through the designs. And now let's meet ✨⭐The Designs ⭐✨ >B) They're in reverse order because the last will be first and the first will be last (Bible reference) ⭐Heaven On My Mind: The latest, greatest album, Heaven On My Mind! The famous song Can't Stop Me was chosen for this. Love this character, she's so pretty and angelic and I used shades of blue like the sky. ⭐Life After Death: Quite a sad album but full of hope! The song is Help Is On The Way. I had fun and also made this design angelic and gave her lots of flowers and plants to represent the theme of hopefulness. Plus, the tail-lily means new life. ⭐The Elements: Love the winter survival theme of this one. I decided to base the design on the Canada Lynx because this is a more gritty album and it was really giving me Canada vibes. Thought I Just Need U was a fitting song here. (Fun fact, blue lynxes do actually exist! They're rare, but they're out there!) ⭐This Is Not A Test: Wasn't sure if I wanted him to have a TV head at first but in the end I went with it. I quite like the colorful accents and glitchy effects. Made the last-minute choice of picking Beyond Me for the song because I had sadly overlooked it ;u; ⭐Eye On It: MY FAVORITE TOBY ALBUM OF ALL TIME! Very nostalgic for me! The colors and markings are inspired by both the cover of Eye On It, and its remix edition, Eye'm All Mixed Up! Might look a little freaky but I still love her. The song selected is Me Without You and seeing him perform it live made me SO HAPPY. Also keep in mind this is a very family-oriented album. ⭐Christmas in Diverse City: Yeah, he did a whole Christmas album! Some people don't count it, but I thought I'd include it anyway! One of the more simple designs but still pretty cool. I think she almost looks like a Ragdoll. Christmas this Year is the song used here. ⭐Tonight: So underrated, chose the titlecut song of this album, Tonight, because why not. Tonight was the follow-up for Portable Sounds, so I made the two designs look related. Also felt like he needed eyewear. ⭐Portable Sounds: Very iconic for an older album! The OG fans know the Portable Sounds cover and recognize TobyMac by it. Really love how this design seems to have a bit of that 2000's/scene vibe. I used Made To Love because it's so good. And her little MP3 player and headphones fit the album's theme so well. ⭐Welcome to Diverse City: Known for The Slam, Burn For You, and Diverse City (the song chosen.) Gave him some flame motifs, a beanie, a cross necklace, and a skateboard because he's cool. Also Illuminati confirmed lol. (I had to cut the intro out because I was concerned that people might complain) ⭐MOMENTUM (solo debut): The first TobyMac solo album after parting with DC Talk, the one that started it all! Just really powerful and intense. This was an album I knew little about until recently, and I had limited ability to hear the songs, but how could I not include it because it was the beginning of Toby's awesome solo act and the song here is a banger (Extreme Days!) Rules! >B) ⭐All art must be made by you! No, stealing, copying (inspiration is fine though,) avatar creators, or AI. ⭐You can simplify/change the design as long as it stays recognizable. Changing the species is allowed but not encouraged (don't make them into mech unless you're entering for This Is Not A Test.) And please don't change the gender. ⭐Due date will be October 22 (Toby's birthday!) unless I want to extend it. ⭐You can enter for as many characters as you want but you can only win for one. There's one exception to this rule, and that is entering for Portable Sounds and Tonight together, because I like to see them as siblings. It's possible both of them to go to the same person. They're almost like a bonded pair. ⭐Must remix the project. ⭐No TobyMac hate (he's a hard guy to hate, but I know there are haters out there. And some people just hate Christians.) ⭐Minor blood imagery and mildly dark or spicy backstories are permitted, but please keep it PG. ⭐Be a good sport and don't put yourself down or guilt trip, or hate on others. ⭐Making multiple artworks, animating, and adding a detailed bio/backstory are all good ways to increase your chances of winning! ⭐HAVE FUN!
