Hi. Uhm. Yeah. You read the title. I'm leaving Scratch. I have a couple of reasons for this: 1. Fandoms I never felt like I was part of a particular fandom here. It's been YEARS since I picked up a warriors/wof book. I don't play cookie run kingdom, haven't read TBHK, never watched k-pop demon hunters. Actually, as a matter of fact, I don't consider myself to be a part of any fandom. It's pretty much my own fault, but I kinda felt ostracized from the rest of the community (again, this is 100% my fault, I promise I'm not blaming anyone for this) 2. Motivation Let me get this off my chest first. My parents have no idea that I have a Scratch account. They don't even know that I draw for fun (well, used to). I'm not supposed to draw, I'm supposed to focus on my studies and my extracurriculars. I had to only draw when they weren't home, or late at night (my screentime limit at 12:00 AM didn't help either). This meant that I only had an hour maximum per day, sometimes none at all. This greatly affected my motivation (the fact that I'm the slowest drawer you'll ever meet also contributed to this), and I found myself preferring to do other things in my free time. 3. Time Management Speaking of free time, that'll be nonexistent by the time I start school. The workload will increase by a lot, especially since I'm taking 3 AP classes. Then I also have extracurriculars, like math comps, math modeling comps, music stuff (auditions, competitions, music school... ), and coding (python. not scratch). Yeah. It's a lot. So moral of the story is I'll have even less time for Scratch/drawing than I do now. I've made several "Activity Notices" by now, but those were temporary. I came back August 8th and realized that being on Scratch might not be the best thing for me. I won't check Scratch anymore. Won't log on. At all. Sorry!
