These are just some sketches I've made over the summer, attempting (though not necessarily succeeding) at improving my art skills. 1. This was a practice of drawing cats with their heads tilted or turned in certain way, and for some reason the bottom looks as though it's a Persian cat, which seems to occur quite frequently with my drawings... 2. Another happenstance of the Persian cat, when I was trying to depict a cat looking up... I should utilize a reference next time... 3. This was a sketch I made in art class, of a cat loafing on a shelf. I utilized a reference image, so I believe the anatomy turned out quite alright. 4. At the top of this page I was attempting a couple different styles of eyes and facial structure of cats, feel free to tell me which you prefer! On the bottom was just a little practice of cat anatomy. (Don't pay any mind to the disproportionate head, please). 5. I don't have much experience drawing people, but considering, this ended up much better than expected. I've recently been researching the Victorian era, and the dress and hairstyle in the drawing are semi-inspired by it, though I believe the crinoline would be bigger, and they would most likely be more intricate designs, possibly more coverage of the arms and neckline for modesty, and also would include a hat. 6. This is a sketch inspired by an idea I have for a mini-comic. This project is not set in stone, but I may set it into action soon if I shape out the story more and scrounge up motivation. 7. This is just some armature practice, please ignore the disproportion of the bottom left, I only recently applied myself to draw anatomically correct people. 8.This is one of my favorite sketches, and I hope to color and shade it soon. It is probably the best hand drawing I've created thus far. Thank you for viewing my project, I hope you have a wonderful day!
