Meet Beetle! Their tattoos are Hawaiian, they are called Kakau, y'all should totally look them up they are so cool. Beetle is an Oni, I gave them one eye instead of two because funnsies, Oni are Japanese mythical demons, they are also really cool and the tattoo on their neck is the Kanji character that means Oni Japanese. I added a few of my own things to Beetle such as the gaping mouth in their chest lol, but most of their inspiration came from Hawaiian and Japanese culture. I had a lot of fun drawing them and will upload the full body drawing and color scheme of them soon. Yippeeee :)
