Shion means "aster", a purple flower. Mixed race - blasian (Japanese and Afro-Latino) Semi-Grade 1 (described as "Special Grade potential, but too lazy to push for it") (he's really just in pain) Curly dark brown hair, warm olive skin. Port-wine stain birthmark under/around his eye (shown in the image) Ummm shipped with Megumi again because um um um I want to and yume ok? Ok ------------------------------------------------- CT: "Haze of the Beastie" His Cursed Energy manifests as a dense, purple-black miasma that leaks from the mark on his face, as well as his palms and fingertips. The smoke is physically heavy; it sinks, and can fill up a room. With it, he can manifest "the beastie"; not a creature, but the skeletal jaw of a large snake that snap and then vanish. However, using this is like using breath, which makes him feel like his lungs are full of hot ash until he stops using it. "Smothering Coil": A dense rope of smoke that wraps around an opponent's neck/limbs, leeching the oxygen out of their lungs. "Ash Lung": He flicks his fingers, forcing microscopic particles of cursed soot into the airways of an opponent(s), causing them to cough up blood and struggle to form Cursed Energy. "Miasma Mirage": "Ghosts" made of smoke. They look like the "Snake-Thing" that manifests in his smoke. Useful if he wants to remain hidden. "The Signal Fire": He makes his smoke highly combustible. A single spark turns all his smoke into a massive, violet explosion. He usually only uses this as a last resort. ------------------------------------------------- BACKSTORY: Enji wasn't born into a sorcerer clan. He was born into a rural, coastal village as a child who was "claimed" by the beast at birth (because of his mark). Like Obanai, he was kept in a cage, fed only enough to keep him alive until he was "ripe" enough for the "Beastie". He was treated as something "sub-human", much like Mimiko and Nanako. He grew up hearing his only purpose was to appease the "Beast"- which was really just a snake cursed spirit that they fed to keep it from destroying them and their village. On the night of the sacrifice, as the "Snake-Thing" approached him in the dark woods, the terror caused Enji to undergo a Binding Vow of self-preservation. His mark already caused him pain (due to the Cursed Energy pulsing within it), but, with the Binding Vow, he unlocked all of his abilities and, in exchange, the mark would cause him even more pain, even if he wasn't using his technique. His smoke didn't just drift out like it would normally; it erupted, triggering "The Signal Fire". It was a pressurized, super-heated miasma that reacted with the village torches. By the time Gojo arrived, there was no village left; just a boy in the middle of the crater staring at his hands. The "Snake-Thing" was "absorbed" into him, and now lives in his smoke (hence why he can "summon" it), whispering that he belongs in the haze like he grew up hearing- like he believes he does.
