First I'd like to say sorry for the art, it's 4am About you: Hi, unlike my username says, people tend to call me Fire. I like to draw, roleplay and occasionally animate. Why you want the kit: Squidkit is so pretty and as soon as I saw him, I had an idea on how I wanted to play the little lad. Why you should have the kit: Ehh, there isn't really any specific reason I should have him, I just like the silly little guy. But if I were to give a reason, I've in gens for a little bit now and I believe I have enough experience to handle Squidkit. Activity Levels: Considering I'm running my own roleplay so I'm here most of my freetime, I'd say 7-8 out of 10? Previous Cats: Lavenderkit, Batwing, Drizzlepaw, Nightfang (Say hi to grandpa!) Personality, simple and Detailed:: (+) Responsible, Dutiful, Resourceful, Reliable, Strategic, Observant, People-Smart, Resilient, Clever, Disciplined (=) Protective, Creative, Stubborn, Cautious, Vigilant, Blunt, Curious, Proud, Perfectionist, Intense (-) Closed-Minded, Unapologetic, Critical, Bossy, Overbearing, Vengeful, Oblivious to other's feelings, Ruthless, Cold, Unforgiving, Insecure, overshadowed Positives: Squidkit will strive to be the most well-behaved of his siblings, he will try to make sure none of them are going against their parents orders and when given a task, he will do his best to complete it. Squidkit is also rather observant, noticing little details or actions that would mean nothing to somebody else, maybe a nervous shuffle of the paws or a quick aversion to his gaze but this will add into his next trait. Squidkit will be people-smart, not in the charismatic kind of way but he will learn to almost sense when someone is bad news. It might not be immediate but it happens, it usually settles in his gut like bad prey and tells him something is terribly wrong. Despite Squidkit being a perfectionist, he is very resilient and adaptable, something may cause him to shut down for a few minutes and then he’ll pop up with a solution. Squidkit won't realize this could potentially worry others Neutral: Squidkit will be very protective of his siblings and those close to him, he will often worry about them getting hurt and this will result in him following them around or watching everyone from the edge of camp. In his freetime though, he'll try out things he learned his grandpa did, like painting with berry juice and find that creativeness is his escape to other worlds. Squidkit is very cautious, not just with his siblings but with himself too, he has the tendency to analyze a situation before making a choice, however, if you don't want him doing something then you better say it before he decides its the best option because once he believes it is doable, he will do it regardless of your feelings unless presented with a good reasoning. Squidkit will be quite blunt, whatever he'd say in private, he would say to your face. If he doesn't like you, you'll know. If he does like you, you'll know. Squidkit takes great pride in his family's legacy which drives him to be perfect and hold his siblings to the same standard. Whether it be his perfectionism or protectiveness, Squidkit will come off as rather intense upon first impression.
Negatives: Despite his curiosity and adaptability, Squidkit will be very close-minded, this may change but it would take a lot for him to be open to new customs or ideas. Even if he gets something wrong, his insecurity will whirl it around on you, blaming you for the plan going wrong or defending himself relentlessly that there were unexpected variables that he didn't know of. Despite his almost inability to accept his own mistakes, he will be very critical of yours, pointing out each flaw no matter how tiny. For his friends and siblings, Squidkit will be clingy, overbearing even. He doesn't want them to get hurt so they need someone to protect them, right? That must be him. All the time. 24/7. And while he's following them around, he'll be incredibly bossy, Squidkit will see it as helping them to stay safe and not understand why everyone is so upset. If someone does anything that upsets Squidkit, they are highly unlikely to be forgiven and if they do something grand enough? They'll find themselves unsafe, as the bait of Squidkit's plans or just slashed across the face by Squidkit himself. This will be their punishment in his eyes, he does not care about their reasoning for the crime, just that they did it. Squidkit loves his family and its legacy, he really does, but he worries he'll never add up for those grand tales. The story of his grandfather hunting in the thunderstorm for a starving clan or the story of his great grandmother being one of the best warriors, so good that only illness could take her. Will he ever be enough? He's trying to do everything perfect but he's making plenty of mistakes on the way, mistakes that his grandpa wouldn't make. Mistakes that his dad wouldn't make. Squidkit will come off as very cold towards others, even when he doesn't intend to be. It's not that he doesn't care, he's just bad at communicating and especially bad at expressing his feelings. He loves you, he just doesn't know how to express that. Squidkit will often be overlooked or overshadowed by his siblings, he's more reserved and quiet. The little tabby follows his siblings around instead of making achievements for himself. Gender Identity and Sexuality Squidkit will feel like his gender doesn't completely fit him. He may take up a pronoun that fits with Eel's prince or Night's king, but only if he feels he earned it. Otherwise he might just settle for ‘it’. Squidkit will be confused about love for most of his life, it seems to be everywhere so why is it that he only feels it sometimes? Was something wrong with him? Was he flawed? He might try to brute force himself into a relationship to see what he's doing wrong but he'll eventually realize, he isn't doing anything wrong. He'll come to know that he is greyromantic and sometimes he'll experience romantic feelings but it is very rare. Roleplay Examples (JRPs will be available in the comments) 1. Squidkit sat in the middle of camp, his eyes locked on the sky as it pelted him with rain as blue as his eyes. The tabby didn't move, he refused to. He would show the storm he wasn't afraid, just as he heard about his ancestors doing. Squidkit planned to stay through the whole storm until he heard his parents calling for him, fine. You win today, storm. 2. Squidkit circled around the camp, looking for the best place to perch. Once he found a ledge that overlooked most of camp, he scrambled his way up. Squidkit's little legs flailed as he pulled himself onto the stone-y outlook. He felt embarrassed, undignified, but it was worth it for the view. As Squidkit looked down at the cats below him, his eyes grew wide, it was memorizing.
