Use your mouse to solve the puzzle! And then solve the puzzle of why I put so much effort into this! ✨ - HINTS - ✨ are here instead of in the game because I'm lazy... - 1 - The plushies don't care whether their neighbors are on their right or their left; they just need to either be there or not be there. This means that all solutions can be mirrored and will still work. So no need to go flipping your solutions to check! Also, remember Odile needs to be on either the left or right edge of the group, so everyone else will be on one side of her. You can pick a side to place her on and then work the rest of your solution around that. - 2 - Siffrin can't be next to Isabeau or Bonnie, but they'll loop with any fewer than two neighbors. With this in mind, you should know exactly which two plushies need to be next to him. - 3 - You may have discovered that with the provided rules, there's no way to arrange all the plushies in a line to make everyone happy. Bummer! But maybe a line isn't the only option... Try thinking in three dimensions! - SUPER HINT - Bonnie needs to be next to Odile, but can't be next to Siffrin. However, Siffrin needs two neighbors, and the only people he can safely be with are Odile and Mirabelle. Because Odile can't have both her right and left sides occupied, one of them will have to go on the only other side left... her head! If you can figure out how to arrange those three, the other two should fall into place.
yesterday i saw a bluesky post by insertdisc5 offering someone a complex, puzzle-esque ruleset for the optimal arrangement of their in stars and time plushies. unfortunately, she made the professor layton reference before i could. unwilling to lose my opportunity to make an Internet Funny, i was left with but one option: going all the way. and hey i'd always wanted to remake a professor layton puzzle in scratch so uhhhh this was a GOOD idea actually,, ✨ - CREDITS - ✨ All original art from In Stars and Time, by insertdisc5 UI edited by me Voice by me All other sounds and music from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, by Tomohito Nishiura, Dai Yamanaka, Yumiko Hashizume, and Kenichiro Saigo All code by me
