The Jarrell tornado was a large, slow moving, and exceptionally intense F5 tornado that impacted Jarrell, Texas and other areas. The odd multi-vortex structure appeared to be a human walking while holding a scythe. This gave the tornado the nickname, "Dead Man Walking". The tornado caused violent damage in a neighborhood near Jarrell. The slow moving storm stalled over the area for over three minutes, producing F5-level winds. Over 27 people total were killed, in addition to hundreds of cattle.
