It was 1745. The empire of Sosilia had imposed heavy taxes on the citizens of the region of Iasmolyia. Citizens were drafted into their army to conquer more land for the growing empire. Civil unrest grew higher as the years went by. In early 1748 the King of the Soslian empire demanded that farmers give up 75% of their crop to be transported to the mainland. This caused a major shortage of food and caused a famine during the winter. Citizens formed militias and drove out the Soslian soldiers back to their mainland. In early 1750 a letter was sent to the king demanding their independence. The colors on the flag serve as a warning if the government were to go corrupt again. The white and blue represent what the barren empty farm fields appeared as during the famine.
