This project was made to test masking, it's an interesting technique that helped me create the frog's unique blinking animation by blending colors in front of the frog's eyelids, so the design looks organized once done. To cheer the frog up when he gets upset or bored, you can pet him or feed him bugs.
Updates 08/24/2025: Project was created. . 08/25/2025: Edited the tongue sprite and added a new food, mealworms. The frog slowly gets more annoyed the more you keep giving him some. . 08/26/2025: Fixed some mistakes and made a few improvements, the frog's eyelids now lower or raise when he looks up or down. . 08/28/2025: Added idle mouth animations. . 08/31/2025: Fixed a bug with the button arrows. . 09/10/2025: The feeding button turns off when the frog performs a mouth idle animation to avoid accidental mouth animation glitches/stuttering. . 12/07/2025: Small changes. When looking somewhere else, the frog now sometimes blinks before moving his pupils back to the camera (to act more alive), fixed a small graphic issue with some mouth and pupil sprites. . 12/08/2025: Added a bowtie accessory! . 12/09/25: The frog now sneezes if you rub his nose for a little bit. (plus some small changes) . 02/26/26: The frog's colors can be changed now! Click the paintbrush button and drag the sliders to edit his skin, eyelid, and tongue color. . 02/27/26: Revised a pupil animation, made small improvements. . 03/03/2026: Added a new food option: butterfly! The frog eats it quickly and it cheers him up more than other bugs. . 03/05/2026: Added 2 more neutral mouth animations and made tiny improvements.
