I suggest reading the chapter before scrolling down. If you find the new site, don’t publicly post about it on scratch, as it’s not all ages friendly. —— I am genuinely so sorry to end it here like this. This isn’t what I wanted, and definitely not what I planned. I promise it saddens me as much it does you. But I truly don’t see any better alternatives. I didn’t start Eternal Apprentice thinking about the long term. It was an idea I’d been playing in my head with for a long while, but drawing out and posting chapter 1 was entirely a spur of the moment decision. I never expected to create 100 chapters. I hardly expected to create five. Had I gone into this knowing how much I would commit to this comic, I don’t think I ever would have posted it on scratch in the first place. I know I gravitate towards dark stories. And not just dark stories, real stories. I build my characters to feel as much like real people as possible, even as cats, and my plots the same way. And the real world isn’t a Peppa Pig episode. Heck, it isn’t even a Marvel movie. The world is dark and messy and complicated and scary and actions have effects, and people get hurt, and there are no simple solutions. And if you don’t look at those things, if you don’t stare into what it fully means to be alive, then you don’t get the beauty of it all. You don’t get those bonds that mean more than you could ever put into words, you don’t get kindness and empathy and joy and humor and love and meaning. You don’t get the neverending struggle to make the world just a little bit better that is always worth fighting for. You don’t get art. I want to tell a story that means something. And I can’t do that here. So I’ll find someplace else. I’ll post past chapters first, and eventually, I’ll start making new ones. Eternal Apprentice might be over on Scratch, but it isn’t canceled. Even if I have to build my fan base back from square one, I still have a story to tell. I mean, I didn’t put “eternal” in the title for nothing. I’ll see you around. - Meadow
