"Mr. Weaver, please look up." "Actually, it's Mrs. Weaver..." The teacher sighed. "But I saw that your gender was male..." "Yeah, yeah, but I do prefer Mrs." "Mrs. Jordan! Don't you think that Juniper should stop growing his hair and wearing dresses if he's a boy?" Ruby Friedman asks Mrs. Jordan. "Well, people have different ways of expressing themselves..." Mrs. Jordan nervously laughed. Well, I think I should try and clear up who I am. My name is Juniper Weaver, and I am a transgender female. Or at least that's what only I know. I live in Fairwell County, and Fairwell is very strict and homophobic, and they are ESPECIALLY transphobic. The only person who (kinda) knows is my dad, who is a proud, yet closeted, bisexual. My mom is a traditional Fairwell resident and she hates the gay and the trans, so she ran away from home when she learned that I didn't feel like I was a boy, and when she accidentally released my dad out of the closet. My dad has recently had a preference in men, but that would be illegal in Fairwell. To keep my gender a secret, I decided to fake being a boy, but except someone who is very VERY feminine. Nobody would DARE be friends with the "fake boy" at all, which I guess kinda sucked. But I am in fact an omnisexual who preferred women. I would tend to hide on the school's rooftop until lunch is over. But then I saw a bat. And a girl. Oh man.
