A LOT has happened since my last update! I began working on some of the finer details such as the vision, neck piece, and back pendant because I didn’t have the glue yet I’ve included the exact screenshots I cut to size and printed in case you were interested! I then cut them out of foam (very poorly) and did my best to carve the details with an x-acto/box cvtter. I included a picture of the finished neckpiece (not quite done the other pieces). My glue also came in not too long ago! I got Barge all purpose cement, which I found to be highly recommended by other cosplayers. It has to be applied thinly, allowing it to dry for only a few minutes, then stuck together and allowed to set overnight. It is flexible and has a very strong hold but please be careful and wear gloves because it can burn the skin while wet. Also! Use this in a well ventilated area! I hadn’t read the instructions like a silly goober and used it on a test piece of foam in my craft roof and darn near g@ss3d myself and my guinea pigs (they live in that room). It has a very strong chemical odor and makes it hard to breathe. We are all okay! I opened a window and turned on the ceiling fan then moved my project to my garage and did the rest of the gluing with a garbage bag down to catch the mess. I also left my garage door open while working and opened it again the next morning to let the room air out. I also thought I’d share the next thing I bought which was DAP kwik seal adhesive caulk. I haven’t tried this yet so please be responsible and safe and do your own research but I intend to use this to fill the cracks in the project where I glued because the edges are a bit messy. I’ll update again when I do more but it may be weird little bit here and there because I start both school and drivers ed tomorrow and will be preparing for the fall musical for theater. Good luck on your Halloween costume if you celebrate!
