*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚ ⟡ ⋮ Welcome! ❀ Please read through both the instructions and notes and credits to fully understand everything <3 ❀ Hello and welcome! These are the leader applications for the FIFTH session of JWC! JWC is an annual writing camp on scratch. Campers make a word goal for themselves to reach during the month, and there are daily and weekly activities that you can do to earn points. Campers are sorted into cabins, and they compete to earn the most points for their cabin by the end of the session. The camp runs in UTC time from January 1st to January 31st. *ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚ ⟡ ⋮ Cabins ❀ Castle (Fairy Tales) ❀ Fun House (Bizzaro Fiction) ❀ Library (Epistolary) ❀ Mansion (Mystery) ❀ There are “sibling” cabins that are used for cabin wars. Cabin wars are an activity where cabins launch writing challenges at other cabins. Siblings are cabins that generally work together and don't “war” each other. There aren't rules for this, however. Cabins can choose to war their siblings if the leaders decide they want to. There are also enemy cabins. Enemy cabins generally attack each other during cabin wars, but again, it is up to the (co)leaders of each cabin what their strategy is. The rest of the cabins are neutrals. ❀ Castle Cabin (Fairy Tales) + Fun House = Library - Mansion ❀ Fun House (Bi-Fi) + Castle = Mansion - Library ❀ Library (Epistolary) + Mansion = Castle - Fun House ❀ Mansion (Mystery) + Library = Fun House - Castle *ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚ ❀ Please continue reading below! <3 *ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚
*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚ ❀ What do (co)leaders do? (Co)leaders are in charge of a cabin, and they add words for campers. The difference between leaders and co-leaders is that leaders have more responsibility. Leaders add points in the main cabin, and they may be making more decisions. Co-leaders help set up their cabin with the leader they are paired with, and they answer questions for campers. ❀ Can I apply for leader and co-leader? Yep! If you apply for leader, you can be chosen to lead a cabin OR if you are not chosen to lead, you will automatically be an applicant for co-leader. But if you apply as a co-leader, you can only be picked as a co. ❀ How are (co)leaders chosen? Leaders will be chosen by the hosts based mostly on your answers to the questions, but also on design and creativity. We will decide which cabins each leader is in charge of, and leaders will be notified by us if they are chosen. Co-leaders are chosen by the leaders. Leaders have to ask if a co would like to lead with them, and cos can say yes or no. Leaders can only choose one co (unless an exception occurs), and there will be a list of suggested co-leaders to choose from, although those are simply suggestions. ❀ Where do (co)leaders discuss things? There will be a discussion forum made by the hosts where the leaders can discuss camp-related things. Normally, (co)leaders communicate with their partner in a separate forum for their cabin planning, but it is up to each leader where they talk about their cabin planning. ❀ Do I have to write in my cabin's genre? No! It's just a name. You can write in whatever genre you like. ❀ What is the competitive aspect? Cabins compete to see who can earn the most points by the end of the session. Campers work as a team in their cabin to gain the most points, and it is a friendly competition. The winners win bragging rights. ❀ How do I apply? Remix this project with your answers to apply. ❀ When do the leader signups close? They close on October 28th at 11:59 pm UTC time. To apply, submit your app before that time. ❀ When are co/leaders chosen? Leaders are chosen after the leader signups close. The leader results will be after a few days. Co-leaders are chosen after the leader results have been given. Leaders can offer to co-leaders as soon as they are notified that they are leading. Co-leaders MUST WAIT 10 HOURS before accepting an offer to see what offers they are given. Leaders can only offer to one co-leader unless they are declined, and then they can ask someone else. All co-leaders must be finalized on November 9th at 11:59 pm UTC time. ❀ What is different about JWC compared to SWC? JWC is a smaller community so everyone gets to know each other and bond on a deeper level. We also have a few different activities and events. We have a mix of dailies that focus on improving your writing and learning new things. We also showcase campers' writing and update it regularly. Plus, we also have an activity called Writing Fight, which is like Art Fight! You'll see other things as well that are different. Those are just a few things we do that make JWC unique. Feel free to ask any questions you have! We'll try to answer as soon as we can <3 *ੈ ⟡‧₊˚༺ ❀ ༻*ੈ ⟡‧₊˚ ⟡ ⋮ Conclusion ❀ If you would like to be notified for camper signups, you can ask to be notified in the comments below.
