Clover: The main similarities are the ears and the face fur. The "Phantom things" look like a droopy version just without the star leaf and they have a smile. Their tails also look the same length as Stars' tail. Will update if we get more ideas!
Edit: September 12th - Apparently this might be actually closer to being true because more people are making this theory?! OMG- Edit: Sep 12th: Clover also said that she thinks that Star's fur changes depending on their emotions. Such as when he was mad in chapter 24. They had more spiked fur which was less droopy. My friend who goes by Clover thought of this while I was showing her the series so I decided to share! She also said they look like Mimikyu-
