Heyo! This is the 2nd ch. of the series Tails of life and I'm so excited to share it with you all! Hope you enjoy! Chapter 2 The next day Mika had to go to school. She loved school. Her school started in the late morning but that day, she got there super early. She wanted to tell Coral an idea that she had. Mika hurried off to her first class. Just as she swam to the door, she bumped into someone. She fell back and dropped her things. “Oh, sorry. I-” Mika started to say. Then she looked up and saw a girl. She had long light green hair. She had bright blue eyes and a kelp green tail. Uh, oh. “What are you doing?” said the girl. “Don’t you know who I am?” Mika rolled her eyes.“Hi, Anemone.” Anemone was the most popular Mermaid in school. She got straight A’s, and was always super kind and helpful to teachers. Though she didn't have that same reaction with the actual kids. Anemone teased the younger kids, and sometimes, if she’s feeling really evil, she’ll make a really big rumor or a huge prank. Behind the malicious mermaid, were her minions. Mermaidians around the school called them ‘the terrible two’. Their names were Shelly and Urchin. Shelly was mostly a follower of Anemone and will blindly follow any order she gives, while Urchin more does the pranks on her own. But of course, she has to get permission from her majesty to do them. Mika got up and brushed the sand off her tail. She picked up her things and started to swim away when Urchin grabbed her arm. “Ah ah ah. Where are you going?” asked Anemone. “Just leave me alone Anemone.” “But you haven't apologized yet.” She pursed out her pink lips and attempted to look crestfallen. But she looked more cheerful like she was enjoying this than what she was trying to achieve. “Sad, sad Mika. Oh dear. What would you do without me?” She smiled a wicked grin and snapped her fingers. Urchin lunged her forward so then Mika and the horrific girl were face to face. “You’ll never survive here with me around Mika. You’re just as weird as your friend Carcass.” “Coral,” Mika said coldly. “Also, you’re not as slick as you think.” She smirked then swam underneath Anemone and swiveled away. Mika swam as fast as she could go. She went up to the front gate and found Coral swimming inside. See ya next time!!! :)
