Abaloneplight - 66 Moons, he/any Accessories: none == == == The so-called 'temporary' nest Abaloneplight had dug into the sand didn't seem so temporary anymore. The sand was solidly packed, pressed down by the seacat's weight. The mosses and seaweeds inside had been switched out multiple times. Abaloneplight was getting used to curling up against the breezes that had begun blowing through. He didn't want to be used to it. This dip in the sand was meant to be a punishment for losing Koidash. It was meant to be a reminder that he didn't belong in the social web he so loved to dismiss: Abaloneplight could no longer sleep in the nursery, the medicine, elder, and leader's dens were all off limits, and he couldn't rest in the warriors' den with all his thoughts slamming around. The sandy hollow wasn't meant to become comfortable. Yet here Abaloneplight was, resting in the dip while the moon rose above. He had been here before. Not in this position, in this place, at this same time of night. Abaloneplight had gotten comfortable in places where he wasn't meant to be comfortable. He was a warrior, yes, but wasn't he meant to be more? Wasn't there a period, sometime across the ocean of time, where he had resolved to be more? Perhaps it was also under the moon when a younger Abaloneplight had promised to be more than a warrior, to be a clanmate. A true one. One who didn't lash out and sulk as a lonely grump. Before that inner declaration, past Abaloneplight had been comfortable walking his solitary path. Now, in the dip in the sand, current Abaloneplight was not comfortable - but he was becoming so. He didn't want to become comfortable. Abaloneplight, the little knight, resolved for the second time to be more than a warrior. He resolved to summon up the courage to seek a conversation with Koidash and sort things out. He resolved to try harder to find a way to balance his love and his duty. == == == Abaloneplight - 67 Moons, he/any Accessories: none == == == That was before he had been promoted to deputy. Now with more duty suddenly thrust upon him, Abaloneplight had an excuse to cling to his fears and not make a move. The promotion had flung all the thoughts of the moonlit night away; replaced them with his usual mindset of work, work, and more work. Work and fear. He had a job to do, and Koidash might hate him, and he had a job to do. == == == I've been doing a lot of yapping lately :pensive: but I actually started working on this before I knew Able might become deputy soooo Koidash owned by Abaloneplight owned (and SRP written) by Role-play (TSS) and species owned by Warriors by Erin Hunter If you'd like to see the moment referenced in the SRP, it's written here: Also, shout out to , my thread with them gave me the motivation for this Finn () having Silverstar promote Able also gave me motivation so shout out to them, too Also also, shout out to Blaze () again because this arc is super fun, and it wouldn't have been possible without her
