2028, Mt. Fuji. The Earth rumbled. Rumbled like never before. Something was stirring. Something hidden. Something ancient. Something evil. Then, the fissure. The smallest cracks blistered with unfathomable heat. The magnitude was like nothing else. And the infernal glow was blinding. Something unnatural, nor supernatural, was forcing its way up, intent on achieving whatever goals it had. Soon, government forces converged to investigate and solve the manner. But they had no idea what they were about to be up against. As soon as they had gone to conduct experiments on the fissure, a loud, slow, guttural groan arose. The armies readied their weapons. And then... a massive, reptilian foot grasped the edge, sending whole squads falling and flying. Then came the head, its precursor a long, blunt nose horn. The head reared, and its eyes looked dead. And matter of fact, this thing was taking its time. The missiles were launched, the bullets flew. But they didn't do a thing. The giant then opened it's mouth, and out came a long club-like tongue, that suddenly lashed out and like an apocalyptic hose, spraying a deadly cloud of pure freezing mist, making all still around it. The monster revealed itself at last, gray, spiked, and sprawling body trudging along slowly, rumbling everything possible. The world did nothing but stare and cower as the giant maw cracked in the planet glared and LAUGHED, as the SLOTHFUL horror proceeded towards Osaka... Deep under the Earth, a warm, peaceful dredged sanctuary of a cave. Something large, old, and resolute. The sanctuary then rumbled, and the titanic figure began to shake as if it were ALIVE... and then stone and dust began to fall. A hopeful glow shined from cracks that were scars and reminders of old triumphs, not of destruction but justice. A maw grumbled, like this was familiar to it and it was ready to perform its duty. And then, glowing, amber eyes opened, prepared. The world needed it again. And they were going to answer.
