Credits to @WazzoTV for the pictures and Scratch Saga. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ninjago for the music. --------------------------------- Story (could possibly be animated): Kaj was a scratcher in 1.0. Just like countless others, he made amazing projects and made friends he thought would be there forever. But a few years later, his friends slowly started to leave, seeking out new horizons. Kaj saw himself as the only one who cared about scratch, heartbroken by the pain of his friends leaving him. He decided, if anyone deserved to rule scratch, it would be him, the only loyal one. He uploaded a forbidden script to the 1.0 database. Unfortunately, it overloaded, leaving the 1.0 headquarters in ruin. Driven mad by his anger, and the chaos around him, many scratchers fled, never to be heard from to this day. But a young sprite, perhaps Kaj's only friend left, decided to stop Kaj. His name was Scratch Cat. A battle ensued between the two in the Valley of Forbidden Code, and it ended with Scratch Cat trapping Kaj in a mountain of Ban crystal. Scratch Cat thought that banning Kaj would make him realize that scratch was only a steppingstone, and that there would be more out there. But again, Scratch Cat was a young sprite, and the Ban crystal wasn't strong enough to keep Kaj chained. He was partially awake, his anger growing every day, but not strong enough to fully shatter the crystal. Until one day, a blast of destruction from some guy named Jarquanzela destroying a guy named Sam cracked the crystal enough. Kaj awoke fully, shattering the crystal. He saw that the world moved on without him, nearing 3.0. He saw Gobo, an old friend of his. He asked Gobo if he was still friends with Kaj. But Gobo had seen the destruction Kaj had caused and was now terrified of Kaj. Kaj was furious at Gobo and put Gobo under his control. He nearly managed to control 3.0, but a group of scratchers, including one he though would see reason, , stopped him, banishing him to ScratchJr. No one knows what he's doing now. Or do they? My own twist to the end of Kaj's story: After being banished, Kaj tried countless ways to break past Scratch Jr's firewall. But with the simplicity of the blocks, it was impossible. Until one day, a small void in the firewall opened up. Without thinking, Kaj jumped through. He the woke up, seeing himself when he was younger, the happiness he experienced. He saw himself start to move away from reality. Then the void spoke. The Void: "Kaj, if you stay here, or if you try to take over scratch again, the last of your friends in the real world will leave." Kaj: "How could I leave? Scratch has given me friends!" The Void: "You feel that you alone care about scratch, but that's not true. Scratch is meant to be a steppingstone, to help you see what you can become. And I know the truth. You're too afraid to admit that you think you can't go back." Kaj: "..." The Void: "Am I wrong?" Kaj: "Then what's the point? What's the point of doing scratch if eventually it's all going to go away!?" The Void: "Because you can use what you've learned on scratch to help the real world. Programming can be used to help others, animation and art to make others feel better. Scratch isn't meant to be a social media. You aren't meant to be a monster. You're a reason. You show that everyone has to use what they've done on scratch to move on." Kaj: "..." The Void: "So? Are you ready to move on?" Kaj: "...I am." And that is the story of Kaj.
