This is a topic I don't really talk about often. Popularity, specifically in the spop community. Usually if you had to ask someone to name an idol in spop it would be someone well known. Perhaps thea? or maybe yoona? Do you want to be popular in spop? Here are the pros and cons. PRO'S : 1. more views and likes on your project. 2. most likely to be accepted into many groups. 3. you get mentioned and everyone knows your name. But what about cons? Yes being popular has cons even if you didn't know it. CON'S 1. You will be targeted by false reports and trolls. 2. Higher chance of getting hated on. 3. Constant pressure to make covers and live up to fans expectations. Being popular in spop is just as bad as it is good. So why did I make this article? Let me talk about it. False. Reporting. For example Thea's gnarly cover got taken down from uncredited music WHICH she literally put in the credits that it was originally by kasteye. @dolle_ent 's original project for HOT was false reported too. And this is just two examples when we have so many. Like know about me by FEARNOT and Aurelia, or BLNK and celestial songs. If you haven't noticed all of these groups / idols are well known in spop, making them a clear target. So WHY do people false report? Simple. Jealousy, you see someone getting lots of likes and views when you don't and you do report. Over and over. These people who you are reporting worked hard on their covers and you just getting them taken down for no reason. It's pure envy. I can't say it's easy to get popular but if you work hard you will get there. I mean look at me my average likes back then was 10-15, now it's 15-20! So stop false reporting.
