Being a Japanese car from the 'Lost Decade', the K90 Kazoku was planned from the start with cost effectiveness in mind, hence why, despite the vast array of bodystyles available, all of them share the same chassis, wheelbase (except for the coupé), running gear, interior fittings and the front third section assembly. Despite this however, the little Kazoku proved to be quite versatile: from family commuters to budget-friendly low rent models to comfortable expressway cruisers to special stage performance machines, and everything in between. It may have been boring, but it sure could do just about anything you'd throw at it. No wonder they sold millions of these.
