WHAT IS CWD? CWD (chronic wasting disease) is a deadly degenerative disease found only in cervids (deer, elk, moose, etc.) CWD is either transmitted from parent to child, from eating contaminated plants, or from close contact with an infected deer. IRP, it will take three weeks for an infected deer to die of CWD- shortened to one after exile. the disease doesn't discriminate based on age, gender, or size. all can be affected. STAGES - STAGE ONE social withdrawal, malaise, mild fatigue - STAGE TWO nosebleeds, progressive weight loss, wobbly legs, tremors - STAGE THREE lack of fear, foaming at the mouth, lack of movement, death INFECTION a number between 0 and 2 deer will be infected with CWD per week. if you're already infected, you can't be twice. every sunday, a vote will be held to exile deer that the herd think are infected. advisors and the queen hold 2x more voting power than other deer, but are not immune to the disease.
