I'm very disappointed. I had a lot of high expectations today. We ended on a 1-1 draw, and dropped 2 points. Joan Garcia played his butt out here, making incredible saves, just for the defense to let him down and concede a goal. If this performance isn't convincing you that he is better than the Ter Stegen that we have now, I don't know what will. Also, us not having Inigo Martinez is clearly affecting us because we can't be playing defense like this. I don't care what Barcelona does, I just want him out of Al Nassr and bring him back to Barcelona. There were so many fouls commited, especially on Lamine and I feel like some of those fouls should've been carded or rewarded a pen, but nope, guess the ref is acting like that didn't happen. But I can't blame it all on the refs. We wasted so many chances that it wasn't even funny. We had more possession. It was basically another nothing burger, especially with all that possesion not being used, they look tired as hell, they could barely string passes. It looked worse than the Inter Miami players trying to string passes vs. PSG. It was getting to a point that Vallecano looked like they were dominating. For the players, of course Garcia played amazing, Pedri is consistently amazing as always, Lamine was our scorer but he needs to stop cutting in it's way too predictable even if it has worked multiple times, our defense could be better. Our subs didn't play too well. Rashford, whilst again, I don't wanna sound like a broken record, he looks promising. I think he needs to get a bit more comfortable quickly before things ramp up, he played pretty badly although not as bad as some of our starting players like Raphinha. We face Valencia next at home by the way-which is a weaker team than Vallecano-so I'm not going to be as worried, but I hope this game proves as a good wake up call to do better.
