Surprise, it's me, Sun :> With the end of the July 2025 session (results are coming, we're almost there!) and Leader Apps for Nov. 2025 having been released, I've recently been thinking about my departure from Scratch. Uni is approaching! I've got bureaucracy to wrangle! And as you'll hear all the oldies say at one point or another, I feel I'm slowly aging away from Scratch :') It's not a site intended for older teenagers and at some point you begin to tell. But I didn't want to go without a bit of a bang, per se, so I'm dropping this before I depart later in September <3 Welcome to Ask a (g)Host Anything! ━━━━ ◦: ✧✲✧ :◦━━━━ So the idea of this comes from a bit of a deep cut: In the interest of increasing transparency from the host team, way back in July 2024 (so long ago... Moonlit and Robin and Luna and I were still hosting... whoops...) the (g)hosts released a QnA project ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1045595080 ) in the hopes of answering all the questions, fun and serious, in an episode of the Mangoes and Mayhem podcast. We compiled all the questions and wrote out our answers, but due to personal time constraints we never ended up recording the answers for the podcast. I've always felt that's been a bit of a loss! The hosts are not always the most transparent when it comes to the processes of running SWC, and I think it would be good to share what we can <3 So consider this project a replacement: Feel free to ask anything in the comments, and I — or another (g)Host — will give you an answer in the comments :D (To the best of our ability, we will not share anything that would be considered a breach of the Scratch Guidelines or otherwise involve divulging personal information.) ━━━━ ◦: ✧✲✧ :◦━━━━ If you don't know what questions to ask, here are some notes/places to start! » I've already linked the past QnA above, with answers we've written but haven't shared yet, so feel free to pull from there :> » They can be as silly or as serious as you like!
