Upon hearing the very sad news that Nelvana reportedly closed its doors after 54 years, I thought I'd draw their iconic polar bear mascot flying away and reaching for the North Star, Polaris as seen in the famous 2004 logo. While I'm not Canadian myself, I still have very fond memories of this company as I grew up with a lot of their stuff, especially Max and Ruby, The Backyardigans, the Care Bears films, The Fairly OddParents and many more. Farewell, Nelvana. Thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories over the years. Fly high, and keep on reaching for the stars, little polar bear... 1971 - 2025
EDIT: k so turns out Corus (its parent company) is just temporarily halting production at the company for now due to financial issues.
