[DATE : 8/19/???] He was wandering the great forests of Gloriole Plains that day. He was bored, having nothing to do but sing to his animals and wander Charity City as per usual. But today was different. The animals were nowhere to be seen, the mayor of Charity City was hosting an event [one that his mother did not want him going to], and his parents... Were working. So he decided that today was the day that he’d put his fears of, ‘What could possibly be lurking in the middle of the woods?’ to the absolute test. As he quietly and slowly glided about, careful not to bump into trees, he could hear voices. Footsteps. Twigs snapping beneath /someone’s/ feet. He immediately stopped, frozen in place. “Wh-who’s there? Please come out, there is n-no need to hide...! I’m nice, I promise! I wouldn’t hurt a so-“ A deadly silence fell upon the forest, as if a predator was lurking amongst the trees. Two moments passed and suddenly, herds of animals sped towards Pandemonium. He jerked his head in their direction and squeaked, flying upwards into the canopy of a tree to get out of the way. After four whole minutes, the clearing was empty, not a single forest creature in sight. “Oh goodness, what kind of animal here could scare all of them...?” He asked himself, slowly descending to be closer to the ground. Looking around, he glided calmly to where all those animals came from, determined to figure out what could’ve spooked them. He summoned himself a silver shortsword and slashed off branches that were in his way. As the leaves fluttered to the ground, he could see something in the distance. Chitter chitter. Crunch Crunch. It was a little brown squirrel! Pande’s eyes lit up and he dropped the shortsword, leaving it to clatter on the ground. He knelt down, holding his hand out to the little critter. Hesitantly, it approached him, sniffing his hand. It stared up at Pande, tilting its head before letting out a content squeak and crawling into his hand. Pande smiled brightly and lifted the squirrel to his face. “I think I’m going to name you, Caste!” He said happily, cradling his new friend in his hands as he journeyed back to his home. The place he is supposed to feel safe at. The place he should feel whole at. But yet.... He couldn’t help but feel a tinge of malice towards someone close... Someone who was watching him from above...
