I'm imagining her in a world where there are certain "Gifted" children who are born. Everyone is born with the same color in both eyes(except on rare occasions), but on the day of their 14th birthday, a certain number of the population has one of their eyes change color, and their powers are revealed. This OC is one of the Gifted. The Gifted are feared among the regular people, so they ship them off to a place called "Gifted Reform And Civil Education" or GRACE. When she became Gifted, she was out in public. She didn't realize it at first. Then she saw her face in a shop window and panicked when she noticed her right eye was yellow. Her distress activated her power, and she hurt someone with it. She doesn't know what her power was, all she remembered was the pain she had caused.
