I think I over exaggerated the thumbnail a bit. "So, where is it? Where is RISING!? Are you even working on it? Hello!?" Can we chat for a bit? So... it's been a little bit since I gave a general update on all this... I'm a Junior in high school now. Quizzes and Tests come out of nowhere every week, and life has just kept me extremely busy. I guess I just grew up a little too fast ya know. Next thing ya know, I'll be a senior and then off to college I go... But this raises the question: "Where is RISING, why are you taking so long!?" Look... It- it's in production. It's taken me longer to write the final scenes of the script due to school keeping me occupied most of the time. I've animated a portion of the first scene, and for what it's worth, I think it looks good. But that may not be what everyone else believes, but that's just my negative thoughts showing. I want this series to happen, but it's taking longer and longer to make it because of school. Chapter 2, it's the LONGEST out of the 4 chapters ( Yes, I narrowed it down to 4 chapters. ) Another issue I've faced is cast member(s) that will remain nameless. They've already mentioned being written out, so I've had to face that choice as well, and knowing that would throw some parts of the arcs into a spiral, that's hard to rewrite. I could do it, it's just a matter of the drive to do it. School takes a lot out of me ya know? I come home with, surprisingly, not a lot of homework, but I'm still tired and worn out getting home every day. I also have... other priorities. I am an animator with another group and that means casting my own projects on the backburner when I'm needed. I've had a blast animating for them, and I will continue to for as long as I can. And if anyone there is reading, no, this is nothing against you. Generally, I'm okay. I'm actually at a pretty high point in life. I've been able to reach for some new goals in life and I've been able to make some epic friends from those goals. Life is good. So what does all this mean...? No, RISING is not cancelled. ...Yet... I only say that because I know the list of things to do only increases from here because high school just loves to do that to you doesn't it? I will try to finalizes the ch2 script and get the voice actors on the job ASAP so that we at least have that done. I'm hoping to release chapter 2 by... February / April at the latest. I'm trying to give myself enough time to actually make a good cinematic production and not some dumb episode facing constant rewrites and retcons. I knew I'd have to say something sooner rather than later, so here we are. I generally think that Chapter 2 will be an amazing installment in the series, and that the audiences will enjoy it. Even if the script is over 30 pages long... ( I'm trying to write a more professional looking script for Chapters 3-4 ) Chapter 2 really dives into the characters and their development and I think that it will be a roller coaster, lets just say that. I think I'm gonna wrap it up here. Don't worry, I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired and heading into another season of a "Stress Arc" as some may call it. But hopefully I can speed production up a little soon after the script for ch2 is finished and I can prioritize storyboards and animation. But yeah... Don't worry too much, if I do this right, everything should be fine. I'll try to keep you updated as much as humanly possible. Cya later.
