Chapter 2 - Sneak attacks and Flashbacks (oooh lore- wait I never said that- FORGET I SAID ANYTHING) (Recap/Previous chapter: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1212531887/ ) “So, let’s go over what we’ve already done.” Callie said calmly. “Ugh, bite me! Why do we even need to go over this stuff?!” “Do you want to learn how to completely control your Solver? You’re now the host, which puts you at risk. I know that firsthand.” Uzi sighed. “Yes, but do we /have/ to go over it every single time?!” “…I guess not.” “Giggle. It’s amusing to see you two argue.” Cyn said, having come back. “SHUT UP, CYN!” Uzi and Callie yelled, annoyed. “Giggle. I’m not done yet. Sneak attack.” “Wait, what do you-” Callie started to say, but was cut off by her getting momentarily possessed by the Solver and collapsing onto the floor, her eyes flashing from her regular teal to neon yellow. She managed to fight it off however, breathing heavily as she started having flashbacks. The two most vivid were her parents getting k!lled by Murder Drones right in front of her eyes, as well as discovering her Solver for the first time and getting possessed by it as well. Callie pushed the flashbacks to the back of her mind as she got up, as Uzi asked, “Callie, you good? Of course Cyn would do something like that.” “Small nod.” Cyn said, causing Uzi to smack her tail again in anger. Callie took a moment to respond, eventually saying, “Yeah, I’m fine. All good. I think that I’ll be going though, Uzi.” “Same time tomorrow then?” “Yeah. I’ll probably stop by in the morning.” Callie then started walking out of Uzi’s room, closing the door. She stopped for a moment, hearing yelling inside now. “CYN, STOP DOING THAT!” Uzi’s voice yelled, causing Callie to shake her head softly, slightly amused as she walked back to her room. She laid in her bed, thinking about the flashbacks. The thing that nagged her the most though was her getting possessed just now. Sure, she was able to fight it off, but it was still worrying. She knew Uzi couldn’t get possessed by Cyn, due to her eating Cyn’s core, even though Uzi was also the host because of that. Yet, Callie could still get possessed. She used her Solver for a moment, carefully trying it out on things in the room. It worked fine. With a sigh, Callie drifted off to sleep, tomorrow should be better. End of chapter 2 Alright! Managed to get this out a day later! I’m hoping to progress the lore a bit more in the next chapter. (I’m currently having a motivation high so we’ll see how long that lasts) Next:
