Scripture warns us that being lukewarm is something God hates, because it shows a heart that is divided and not fully committed to Him. In Revelation 3, Jesus speaks strongly against lukewarm faith because it reflects a life that claims His name but lacks true devotion. Jesus also makes this clear in Matthew 7:22-23. Many people will say, "Lord, Lord," and point to the things they did in His name, but Jesus responds that He never knew them. This shows that simply calling ourselves Christians or doing outward religious actions is not enough. Even demons believe that Jesus exists - belief alone doesn't equal salvation or relationship.
Being a Christian means having a real, living relationship with Jesus. It means knowing Him, walking with Him, and allowing Him to transform our hearts. It's not about perfection, but about genuine surrender and daily commitment. God desires people who seek Him with their whole hearts, not half-hearted faith or empty words. True Christianity is about relationship, not just recognition - about knowing Jesus, not just knowing about Him.
