✧ —《ᴄʀᴇᴅɪᴛꜱ》— ✧ ┆⌦ ᴀʀᴛ   ⧐ @ (_YourPopcornFriend_) ┆⌦ ᴄᴏᴅᴇ   ⧐ @MathAllergy ┆⌦ ꜱᴏɴɢ   ⧐ The Living Tombstone ✧ —《ᴅᴇꜱᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ》— ✧ This is a character of mine named Umbra! :D She is part of a roleplay with me and my friend, and she is one of many of my characters! Umbra was made in a military laboratory and was made to be a weapon. However, her creator, Dr. Whitten, decided he didn't like the idea of the military using her as a weapon, so he brought her to his family! Including Mr. and Mrs. Whitten, and their children, Matt (Matthew), Gabi (Gabrielle), Jack (Jackson), and Theo (Theodore). Dr. Whitten decided that he would give Umbra a new purpose as the guardian of the family. She promised she would protect them, but being so young, she didn't have all the courage to fight. Soon the military came after what they claimed as their "property" or Umbra, and killed most of the Whitten family. Umbra didn't do anything, but run and cower. Matt got upset at Umbra for not being there, and breaking her promise. He pushed her outside, where Umbra's feelings would soon burst. She'd get angry and sad, and would destroy parts of the area. As if things couldn't get any worse, her only friends saw the damage she was causing to the area around her. The friendliness they once had turned into hate and spite, and they left her. Matt & the Dr. basically gave Umbra the silent treatment for 2 and a half years. They never looked or talked to her, or even let her back inside. She has been forever haunted by what she has and hasn't done; not just about the past, but also how she's treated some or one of her recent friends. She's always trying her hardest to be there and to not hurt her friends, but when in not the best mood, she'll say things she normally wouldn't want to. ~Other Details~ -Umbra has an older brother named Flint, but I'll get into his past another time. -One of her friends was a white house cat named Charlie, who was her only friend during her time at the lab. She sheltered and protected him from the harsh environments of the people and place of the military base. She was supposed to kill him in a test trial, but refused to and failed the test. She had known him since he was a kitten, had known him for years, so his abandonment hurt her the most out of all her friends. -Pretty much has a softer spot for children, since she was pretty much surrounded by them most of her life, and doesn't want to ruin their lives like with the Whitten children, and doesn't want to give them a bad childhood like she had. -Her other friends' names were Garnet and Azalea. -The dark monster you might see in some parts of this project is when Umbra lost it and turned into a monster, literally. Thanks to the help of a friend, she was able to no longer be corrupted and turned back to normal. She's doing her best to not lose her head so she can prevent it from happening again. Cause if her emotions are at an all time high, the corruption appears, slowly taking over her, but as she calms down it goes away after a bit. -She has a belief that everyone is better off without her, but still tries to keep going, despite her mind being so cruel due to the experiences, and hateful comments, that have just stuck with her. -When she was at the lab, no one liked her; they all hated her. She left the laboratory once and never wanted to leave again because of what everyone said about her. -Oh! And she's made of dark matter, forgot to mention that. That's how she turned into a monster and everything. You take away the dark matter, you are sucking the life out of her. Take it all away, then you pretty much take her out of existence. -Mr. and Mrs. Whitten were soldiers in the military. And Dr. Whitten also worked for the military as a scientist. -Dr. Whitten is the grandfather of the Whitten children. ~Side Note~ Apparently according to my friend, telling him Umbra's backstory almost made him cry--I'm not that dark minded am I? Also if you couldn't tell, yes this character is slightly inspired by a certain black and red hedgehog.
