Hello Scratchers. (are we still called that?) It's been a while since I last logged into this account. I'm making this project to explain why I left and where I've been. **Why did I leave Scratch?** I joined Scratch 4 years ago as @EEDOL. I was 10 years old, in the fourth grade, and bored during virtual school. I had a lot of free time so I was super active on Scratch. But as I got older, life got in the way. Virtual school ended, fifth grade started, and I started doing more activities and more work, and I had less time for Scratch. I still tried to stay active. I tried to log in and interact with everyone and be friendly. But I just didn't have the time anymore. And a bit after I made this account, I finally accepted that. So I left. **Where I've been** After I left, life was good. I joined the swim team. I got better at the trombone. I started playing more video games. I got super interested in geography. Now I'm 14. I'm a freshman at my high school. I'm in the marching band. I'm obsessed with Formula One. And I'm taking computer science classes so I can work to achieving my lifelong dream, to be a game developer at Valve. High school, as many know, is super boring, and so I've turned to many websites to make class fun. And that is why I've decided to come back.
**What Now?** I've had many accounts. Theres @EEDOL, where it all started; @-Hwo- where I tried to be more in the intro/outro community (How's that doing, by the way?); @-Arc-Reactor- where I stayed in the intro world but slowly transitioned to games; and this account, @realkeysdev. Across these many accounts I've released over 300 projects. I've worked on probably 50 games. I've finished one. This changes now. I'm going to work on some small games, rebuild my skill, and tackle a big project. A massive project. But I think by the time I start that I'll be ready. As I said, I'm 14 now. I'm in the marching band, I'm on the swim team, I don't have as much time to work on these. So it will be a long process. But I will make these. I will finish these. And I will finally have something programming-related attributed to my name. I don't expect anyone to care about this or read this. Most of you have probably forgotten me. For the ones who didn't, I thank you for remembering me after all this time. And I hope you will be supportive of my journey. It seems that Scratch has changed a lot since I last opened it. You can set custom thumbnails now (finally). You have a confirmation prompt before deleting sprites. And more. But I'm excited to see how I do. And that's all I have to say about that. Oh yeah, I changed my username to davidian. -keys/davidian
