Very early on he was taught never to use his electric powers out of fear he may hurt someone, yet he trained secretly anyway. One day, Silver went mad. Her eyes went a pitch black and a small, dark red, empty circle was in the middle. She went on a rampage, killing everyone in sight. Topaz and his family tried to escape into the forest but Silver caught up. She watched as one by one, his family members were killed. Topaz turned and ran into the forest. He could hear Silver chasing close behind as he reached a cliff. He turned to see Silver jump from the forest behind him. Topaz watched in terror as Silver inched closer. He remembered a conversation with his mom when he was little, "you can't use your powers," his mom said as she tied a scarf around her neck, "you could hurt someone." "but what if I have to?" Topaz asked. "what then?" His mom sighed. "you won't." As Topaz remembered this, a silent tear slid from his face and hit the ground. Lightning started crackling on his tail. "You know what?" He said coldly as thunder rumbled in the distance, "I'm done holding back." He let loose a blast of electricity, paralyzing and severely hurting Silver. Topaz then turned and jumped off the cliff as he was struck by a powerful blast of lightning, turning into a Snetitan in the process. He escaped into the forest, never looking back.
