========================================== PONG Welcome to Pong! That's right! 1.1 is out! After some short thinking, I realized that I needed to make some fixes. Quality of life stuff. Changelog in Notes & Credits. ========================================== Controls You can control the wall by pressing W & S on your keyboard, and you can restart the round by pressing space in-game. No worries about losing your points mid-game because of my coding slip-up. Your points remain until the end of the game. ========================================== Note Look at the code for some special written explanations by me! And a heartfelt thank you for playing my game. I enjoyed making it, despite the hardships. I spent maybe 16-18 hours total working on the game from scratch (pun). ========================================== 1.1 Changelog -More Sounds! Finally, you can hear the in-game music! -Smaller Objects: The originals were too large to be compatible with the new bot, so I made them smaller. -New Bot, the old bot was pathetic, so I made one that's a little more accurate. Your games should last longer than 5 seconds now! -Ball Randomness, the old ball could get stuck in a pattern easily, so I tweaked HockyCocky's direction physics to fix the issue. The ball should be a bit more random now. -White Game Backdrop, the old lighting one was cool, but didn't fit the vibe. -Updated all text stating that the bot is "trash." End of Changelog: 9/8/25 ==========================================
========================================== PLEASE GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS AND FEEDBACK I'm a first-time coder, and this was what I came up with after a YouTube video and some desperate studying. If I don't get some advice, this game is probably gone in the water. But optimism is more welcoming, so report bugs in the comment section. I fixed most issues from the Alpha. I'll list potential new ones below. Known Issues: Ball Tunneling [FIXED] Thanks HockeyCockey! Pausing Game Breaks it [STILL AN ISSUE] ========================================== Plan for this Game Ranked from "Soon" to "Almost Never" -More difficulties, they bring life into the game and while I think I could do it within a few hours, I'm exhausted. -Endless Mode, I think this edition of the game would be fun! Being able to save your scores is also a must. I might figure it out. -Multiplayer, I think being able to have one friend use the arrow keys and the other use the WASD keys would be fun. This is another example of "I can totally do this but i don't wanna" -Improving Animations, The animations on this suck, if I'm being honest. They could be a whole lot better, but, until I get some extra knowledge under my belt, I won't tamper. -I want to add more music, I have music for the endless mode at the ready, but the game doesn't feel lively enough, there isn't any variety. Especially with that stupid Menu Theme blaring into my ears. That's all I got though, the plan in general is to maybe be accomplished fully by the end of the school year, but I'm not sure.
