(last updated October 2025) I know I haven't been active for a while, so I thought I'd let you guys know what I've been doing with my time :P I started getting serious about my riding about 10 months ago (early January 2025). While also managing to keep my grades up, I dedicated a lot of time towards improving my riding. In June, I was up early for swim team every weekday, and then volunteering at my barn's summer camp for the rest of the day. Somehow I managed to fit in running every day along with swim meets twice a week. After June, life was a little calmer, but early June through mid September is show season for me. Also the first show season that I've ridden. For those of you who don't know, I do hunter-jumper with a gelding named Cowboy who I love to the ends of the earth. This year, we brought home two champion ribbons, one reserve champion, and a lot of blue. I'm more proud of Cowboy than I can say. Cowboy has personality, that's the best way I can describe him. A medium-height chestnut, he's 17, so a little on the older side but still going strong. I've learned a lot of lessons from him, the biggest being don't judge a book by its cover. If you want the whole story, lmk, but he taught me there's a lot more to a horse than simply having flashy appearances and speed. I thought I already knew this, but the way he's stolen my heart is just something. The other day my riding instructor put me on a gelding named Campbell, a very forward, slightly green, bay. Even though his trot is pretty rough, I really like him and hope to ride him more. Not to mention on the first jump we did together, a simple crosspole, he popped over it with at least 8 inches to spare, so that was something. XD (I'm riding him consistently now, and he's the sweetest guy!) But I'm certain I will always love Cowboy, and am still planning on riding him in our Halloween show this year. (super fun btw we dressed up as the princess and the pea in a group costume with a lot of my friends) Anyways, on a non-horsey related subject...My XC team won the two main meets of the season, and we're hoping to do well at state this weekend, then regionals the next. I've also been listening to a lot of Megan Moroney and Alex Warren and trying to figure out how to play "Eternity" and various other songs on my violin. Well, that about concludes the past couple months of my life. I love you all so much and hope you're doing well! <3333
