I suggest watching in fullscreen, since there's a bunch of little details relating to their backstories. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'll have more on both of their backstories later, but, here's the gist of it: Ayaka was Everley's first love, but died in a 'human induced' car accident. When she first died, Everley begged to be let into Heaven to see her/say goodbye. She was denied. Ayaka was human and the daughter of a very religious family. Ayaka's favorite flower was blue bonnets. Evander is Everley's soon to be/current lover. He does not know about Ayaka or her death but can tell something constantly bothers Everley. Evander is not human. When they first started to become friends, Everley gave Evander a star necklace, nicknaming him 'Van' for the first time.
