hello! this is my dbd manager application. :) 1 [] my user is @oceansxnset-. you may call me aspen or saturn (no preference). my preferred pronouns are she/they. a (not super) fun fact about me is that i LOVE chocolate lmao. 2 [] PST aka UTC/GMT-8 3 [] i can’t be on from 8 am to 3 pm because of school (at least until next school year). i’m also quite perfectionistic so i always want to get things done perfect. i’ve been working on this aspect of me and i’m learning how to be not as detail-oriented and focus on the big picture. i also tend to overcommit to things, putting in a ton of effort to many things at once, but i’m currently practicing better time management skills to avoid burnout. 4 [] hmm secret skills… i am great at discreetly stealing ppl’s elbows /silly anyways uh past experience involves 2 years of student council, leadership roles on sports/academic competition teams, and i know i’m not supposed to mention gwdfi but this is from a long time ago, i was manager of the gwdfi roleplay at its peak (like in 2021ish). i also pride myself on being a rather empathetic person and i always want to help others and respond to vents. the dbd community has helped me a ton and i would love to give back to it. 5 [] what makes me different from other candidates is my unique mix of skills, interests, and experience. i’m quite strong in leadership skills (at least the ppl that know me irl would say), and i have a lot of leadership experience. my interests (medicine, robotics, rock bands, science, [i’m a nerd as you can see], basketball, amongst others) are also decently different from other managers, so i can be relatable and connect with dbders on topics other managers might not be able to. i’m also pretty active at night so i can reach/help dbders that aren’t in american timezones. 6 [] i believe for around a month or a month and a half 7 [] 6 or 7 out of 10 (haha i’m so funny. no but i actually didn’t do that on purpose okay) because i can’t be on during school (at least this school year), but i’m also pretty active at night and midnightish (no sleep schedule ahh) 8 [] i try to stay calm and analyze the situation from a neutral standpoint, which better lets me make a good decision. if i’m working in a team, i like to assess the situation with my peers so we can collaborate and come to a consensus about what to do. 9 [] i believe a goal for the studio would be to get more members from other timezones. i’ve noticed that after around 10pm pst it gets incredibly inactive, and after midnight sometimes an hour of gap between comments. i understand there are several members in other timezones, and it would be nice for them to have people to interact with when the americans are asleep. if i were a manager, i would like to play some games with the dbders like some managers have done recently. it’s very fun as well as letting us all bond more. 10 [] yeah so i understand i’ve been quite negative recently and i would like to apologize about that. i’m working on being more optimistic about life and stuff and i sincerely hope i will stop venting so much. two questions i want to ask are: 1. what does success look like in this role? 2. if, lets say you promote me, and a while later you’re looking back at your decision, how will you know you made the right one? thanks for reading. good luck to everyone. <3
