How to animate? Good question--it is one of the difficult classes of creation. I do not show you how to animate on scratch, since i haven't in, like, 4 months...but I can show you how animating works. 1. Smear frame This is a small, fast frame used for small, fast movement. Perhaps if you watch a show, you'll pause and see a teerifyingly ridiculous image of the frame to depict fast movement. You can use that to your own standard. 2. Slow in, slow out This is where you draw the first frames stuck together and accross or fast movement only a few frames far apart. It works so you get smoother movements. 3. Gravity If you dont know, if the thing you're animating lands like a sack of potatos, that is not my fault. What is my fault is not telling you in animations, items could perhaps bounce small after landing and then land. Trust me, it will be qay cooler. 4. Anatomy Noticing how drawing humans and animals look like in your style takes a lot of work. Take anatomy like a skeleton. You can google types of anatomy of creatures similar to your style, and use that to your advantage. Make sure it's royalty free or you asked the artist! Copywrite can be a serious issue. 5. Talking about ai art This isnt actually going to help you with animating, but i need to talk about it. Ai art isn't...BAD...but it also can be. Using or tracing ai art is a terrible no. Especially sending it to a social media platform and lying it was made by you. Art is something for creativity, we were born with the gift to create...and AI can't take that from us. But it can be used to help one out in a way...with health or dire situations...but I guess I shouldnt have been too ashamed of using it in the past--i could say...it helped me create my own things? You know what? Idk...it's hard to explain. Just please dont punish kids on the internet who still used it. It will break their heart. That's all the info i can give for now...since I dont have much time left to be on...see you later! Good luck animating! And if you have any questions, please ask! I am an open book!...ig
