You have found a rare artifact in an isolated cave, but a malevolent spirit inhabiting the artifact is after your soul! Fight back and defeat this fleshy abomination! Arrows or WASD to move. Space to shoot an axe with limited range in your direction. You have 10 chances to beat the boss and will be reset to your spawn in one hit. The boss has 100 HP and has 2 phases. WE HATE 6 7. TYPE THOSE TWO NUMBERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Everything is made by me outside of music and sounds. Music used: Anticipation and Enemy Approaching from Undertale. Last life jingle from Super Mario Bros. Sounds used: Snippets from the Beast and Ultra Pestilence from the Binding of Isaac. Sword sounds I found from google search. Friday, 9/12/2025: Added player, player movement with tutorial, coded 4 boss attacks. Added death. Friday night, 9/12/2025: Reworked collision and fixed platform-destroying moves not destroying platforms. Added the axe, a weapon that can deal ranged damage. Gave the boss proper health and the ability to be damaged. Added a second phase to the boss, implementing code for minions finally. Added a background. Shared project. Friday, 9/12/2025, 9:00 PM: Added intro cutscene and countdown. Added win screen. Saturday, 9/13/2025: Made rudimentary value changes to the win conditions and added a bounce to the countdown preceding the boss fight. Change is otherwise too small to properly document. Sunday, 9/14/2025: Added a weak point to the boss's skull, dealing double damage in that area specifically. This was added to speed up the battle along with giving a high risk-high reward option for clearing the boss's HP faster as half the attacks the boss can use will target the platform you must stand on to hit the weak point. Monday, 9/15/2025: Added a visual change and animation for second phase. Added a line of code that would push player out of a platform if stuck inside. Added invincibility after death by boss. Gave players much less lives to compensate - 25 to be exact. Added death animation to boss. Added special transformation upon reaching your final life. Added very short cutscene when reaching the final life. Updated game over screen. Fixed death screen being overridden by other sprites. Tuesday, 9/16/2025: Fixed boss phase 2 transition. Massively reduced lives to 10. Weak point now works for final life form player too. Added music that changes during phase 2. Added sound effects that play when boss is damaged, when boss is idle, and during the intro and phase transition. Added jingle that plays when you win and one that plays at your last life. Wednesday, 9/17/2025: Added lava ambience and death sounds that match what killed the player. The boss now roars when it dies. Added a list that shows every way you died when you win or lose. Added a button only I can see that instantly removes 10 HP from the boss. Added an HP bar which would replace the "BossHP" variable to show how much HP the boss has.
