This game supports both arrow keys and standard movement. Left arrow/A - move left Right arrow/D - move right Up arrow/W - jump Inventory can be accessed by pressing the respective button in the bottom left corner. Use potions/items by clicking them while in inventory. Green potion gives +25 HP Yellow potion gives immunity for a brief period of time Blue potion heals you and increases your maximum HP to 125 NO, you are NOT meant to avoid the spears, those are added to show the healing potion ability.
Eighteenth update 12/16/25: Patched bug where you could repeatedly deal damage to the first boss. Seventeenth update 11/6/25: No real gameplay changes, but making music for the game for the past few days. Developing cave theme. Sixteenth update 11/2/25: Got sick so background additions and music additions were paused. Fixed boss fight breaking after dealing damage, working on moving changelog to inside the game to avoid taking up space. Fifteenth update 10/27/25: Fixed issue with boss switching back to alive costume after death, added more sustainable potion collection system. Quality of life fixes, fixed slider from staying still. Working on polishing up music. Doing some background revisions to make things look a little nicer, may look a little funny until it's finished. Fourteenth update 10/24/25: Busy today but finished reworking movement, debugging. Also resolving issues with boss not taking damage. Immunity after being injured has extended from 4 seconds to 5 seconds. Thirteenth update 10/23/25: Resolving issues with shield sprite, reworking damage to make it easier to use in sprites, also helps fix issues with shield. Reprograming movement, stuff is kinda broken right now but trust me, this is gonna help a ton. Twelfth update 10/22/25: Didn't log some updates, but first boss fight added. Fixing issues with music, also discovered a way to resolve issues with shield sprite, but too lazy to fix them until later. Audio will also be updated soon. Eleventh update 10/16/25: Added super potion and implemented basic sword, will get functionality soon. Begun making first boss, and begun developing music for various regions using chrome music lab. Tenth update: 10/15/25: Adding sword, fixed primary issues with shield potion, debugging minor issues. Added new areas, also made it impossible to move back to earlier areas after the sword stage. Ninth update: 10/14/25: Fixed bug with death animation flipping, began development of the second potion, the shield potion! Eighth update: 9/25/25: Legit nothing but still alive, just letting everyone know Seventh update 9/19/25: Was sleepy and had to lock in for school, but some bug fixes were done. Sixth update 9/18/25: Successfully added a death screen, resolving issues with death animation switching sprite costumes. Fifth update 9/17/25: Begun adding basic code for potions. Two more backdrops have been added, attempting to resolve issues with sound. Attempted resolutions with sound broke movement. Issue on standby. Game Over screen made, yet to be implemented.
