Poem - "Memories" As I sit, alone and desolate I look about the empty room With a scoff, I stand aloft And alone I was assumed. From my soul I wrought, speaking only in thought My doubts of where I stay Mind with question only, mind is cold and lonely Alive I stand, and dead I shall lay. I look to the sky, a tear falls from my eye In this land, only blind eyes may see Forward I crept, my fate I kept Hidden under my own lock and key. Took dreary steps out so weary, Feeling weak where my legs bent Closed my eyes, my shoulders I rise As I began to feel tense. “Something is wrong, and I shall be gone,” I muttered, just hush Around anxiously I looked, for danger I mistook But ahead lies nothing of the such. A mind’s figment, almost found magnificent How mine is capable of so Took a breath, another weary step As I questioned if I wanted to know. Peeled back the curtain, make my fate certain As it finally came into view The loves I’ve made, the problems through which I wade All the memories of me and of you.
I'll probably do a voiceover of it when I get home. I submitted it for a competition a few months ago. Beats those awful FNF' lyrics I used to be proud of. Didn't get any sort of award, but I am happy with it.
