I am not against all AI. AI might be a bit scrary sometimes, but I think it's cool! It's science, and while I think we as humans shouldn't /rely/ on artificial intelligence, it's interesting to see what kind of things we can make. HOWEVER. I am against /generative AI/. The AI that you can give a prompt and it gives you twenty thousand images it just 'made'. Or AI that you give a story prompt and it 'writes' for you. That work is not made by you. It's generated. Not only is it lying if you say you made it (you only had the idea and had a machine 'make' it for you), this is art-theft as well. Let me explain: to 'learn', an AI takes other images and uses those to become better at 'making' images itself. It's what people do as well. We look at art others made and get inspired. We go outside and admire the scenery. We see pictures and learn from that how the world works. Its a smart way of learning, but the problem is that usually, this art is given to the ai without permission from the artist(s). Now we look at images and unknowingly take inspiration from others their art without asking permission. But it's the same with tracing, except that, you don't know yourself who the original artist was and you are now using someone elses stuff without credit. I don't know how to end this but yeah that. If I had anything about AI wrong, I'm sorry, but this is the information I got from other people both on- and offline. No art or anything because this is. A thing i would've putten in my profile comments but like I got banned for a bit
