Its life long, it commonly affects : reading, writing, and spelling affecting how a person processes language and potentially leading to difficulties with word recognition, reading fluency, and communication. In addition it can also affect challenges with memory, mathematical reasoning which is dyscalculia, and handwriting which is dysgraphia(talk to ren about that one). Dyslexia commonly leads people to have self-esteem issues, frustration, and difficulty with school work. How dose dyslexia affect me? • in reading and comprehension testing tested with a 5th grade reading level because most the time I didn’t understand the questions and the passages confused me (that’s bad) • frustrates me with school work •constantly makes me feel stupid for struggling •constantly lost whilst reading •stuttering whilst reading some basic words •REALLY small vocabulary •delayed age in learning to read (1st grade) •learning new words slowly •difficultly remembering crap •constant stutter when I read out loud (even when I’m confident or know (ish) what I’m reading ) •I guess words before I read the whole thing (ex reading do as don’t) Questions I get asked Q: can dyslexia be cure A: nope! It’s a lifelong thing Q: why are you bad at reading A: I have learned to read during 1st grade and I don’t do much reading so that’s pretty much it Q: what are some symptoms? A: persistent difficulties with reading, spelling, and writing, such as slow and labor-intensive reading, frequent spelling errors, and problems finding the right word. Other signs are challenges with memory and sequencing (like remembering days of the week), difficulty processing spoken language, and a tendency to avoid reading-related activities are some of them or the ones I listed before Q: what are some words you commonly get confused about A: dose and dosent ,, do and don’t ,, was and wasn’t solely because I guess before I read
